$6M award against Union Pacific Railroad upheld

A $6 million judgment against the Union Pacific Railroad was reinstated by the Colorado Supreme Court.
According to legal documents, the personal injury case of Frank Aloi was returned to the Colorado Court of Appeals "for consideration of remaining issues.'' Aloi was awarded $6 million in the largest personal injury verdict against the Union Pacific at the time. The district court found the railroad liable for injuries Aloi suffered when he fell down stairs on a locomotive in 1998.
