Jury awards family $7.5 million in boy's death

A jury awarded $7.5 million dollars to the family of a 12-year-old boy who died during a surgery to repair a wrist tendon in a malpractice verdict.

According to attorneys, Andrew Muno died during surgery at Condell Medical Center due to an allergic reaction to medication that caused severe respiratory arrest. The jury contended that the surgeon and anesthesiologist were at fault.
